SCHOOLS, COLLEGES, UNIVERSITIES
We deliver tours and workshops tailoured to the specific learning needs of groups ranging from Nurseries, Primary and Secondary Schools, Colleges and Universities. These tours encourage imagination and creativity whilst exploring the artwork in our current exhibition.
Groups who have pre-booked will receive a tour and a creative workshop which will explore certain aspects of the exhibition, including links to cross-curricular learning where possible.
Dates and times for these visits can be discussed with the Education Officer when booking. These activities are free of charge, unless otherwise stated.

Blackpool Sixth Form visited the exhibition, Brigitte Jurack: Pink Parachute in February 2012. The group spent the day in the gallery working with the artist learning about sculpture, form and then creating their own yellow wax models of themselves in playful positions.
"It is a privilege working with Brigitte as I learnt some valuable skills from her!"
"Trying something new, which I wouldn't have had the opportunity to have done otherwise."
PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS ART FORUM
Grundy Art Gallery has formed a networking opportunity for Primary School Teachers from Blackpool and the Fylde Coast. The forum meetings take place once every two months at the gallery.
Teachers can openly discuss any challenges or highlights of the art curriculum. Grundy's Education Officer can inform the teachers of any exciting opportunities coming up, offer support and advice, introduce new artists to work with and study in class. Teachers can also bring along examples of 'good' school art and ask for ideas on their future projects.
If you would like to join the forum please contact Kerry Hunt, Education Officer, via email: kerry.hunt@blackpool.gov.uk
and you will be informed of the next after school meeting. For more information please visit the
